Just saw a replay of the Saka injury again. Wasn’t quite that he went over on his own ankle, was it?

He stood on the edge of Hincapie’s foot, as both feet sort of arrived together, and Frimpong rolled his ankle. A painful one.
It would have been a harsh penalty, but on the other hand, there was a little something there to look at.

Yeah. Both FB have been skinned one time each resulting in some butterflies, but other than that the organization and commitment of it has been creditable. Not much else to praise about the performance but sometimes that is just what it be at this level and you defend when you have to. Now let’s see if we can use it as a platform…

A well drilled and spirited half, giving them almost no space through the middle or wide, when we bring Gakpo and Frim back almost as extra fullbacks.
Resolute first half. We’ve defended really well, and actually had the best chance of the half.
Not sure his sustainable it is, and I’m very worried about what happens when both managers are looking at their bench.

No outlet here, can’t keep defending like this. No pace in the side, passing and movement too slow all this chasing the ball will take its toll. We need to get hold of the ball get lots of movement off the ball, pass the ball quicker, get Chiesa and Ngumoha on and have a go at them 2nd half. Take it to them and stop being so passive.

Not a bad first half considering our lack of strikers. Solid in defence but no outlet going forward. Wirtz not up to much unfortunately.
Really miss Ekitike. No outlet or threat up front. Gonna need a worldie from Szobo, Wirtz or Bradley (
