I know Slot wants the midfield more fluid, and Grav has played some decent attacking footy this season but it would better for the team as a whole if he stayed deeper and provided more cover. When he goes forward Szob and Macca are rarely in the right place to cover him

Someone earlier mentioned 1 touch passing, this is what opens up teams but is missing from our game as is the movement that is needed for it to be successful.
We have paid and few bob for our CF and we have no coherent play to get the ball to him where it matters, apart from one brilliant cross from Mo.
On Mo, apart from that one cross he is really a passenger going both ways, Cody at least is involved more, he however does less with it.
No conspiracy or agenda. Slot has to explain why Chiesa can’t get a start against an underperforming Gakpo.

Chelsea have raised their game. If they played like this each week they would be top of the league.
On our side it was a bright start but we didn’t build on it. Chelsea scored a lovely goal and we haven’t created enough.
Salah is not very threatening on the wing any more, Gakpo is ok but not elite to my mind. We are playing a formation that is not optimal for the players we have.
