Subbing your CB for no reason is costing us. Stubborn Slot need to change that. Why on earth you change your CB and put a CDM as your CB and then bring a more defensive CDM when you need a goal. Twat of a decision. He has done it twice and we lost both the games. It’s deffo on Slot and that Wirtz is a passenger.

Agreed. Endo should not be brought on cold into such a tense situation. His touches were consistently bad. And his defending was subpar as well. Not sure what value he has left to us except as an injury substitution. I would not have brought him on. Why couldn’t Chiesa get a sniff instead? We needed help in the attack and possession game.
I am agreeing with you that Robbo was the wrong sub. Preaching to the wrong crowd.
But his job, 1st and foremost, is defensively, if you have one side locked down why change, Kerkez still got forward but our left was solid

Robbo was beaten soundly even when he knew where the ball had to go. He needed to cut off the pass since he couldn’t keep up with the legs of the younger Estevao. Everything was wrong about that last minute.
Well, the stats does not lie. We weren’t creating enough to pepper their goal, the midfield was not properly spaced. And the subs after Wirtz were all a disaster.
The midfield clearly needed Szobo’s legs but nope…
macca was goosed thus the change. I would have had gomez at CB while keeping ryan in the middle. a midfield of endo, wirtz and jones was asking for trouble
