Injury….
I’ll pile on and add nothing new by saying you should definitely not stop.
Perfect post, whatever the weather.
But where is Isak going to play?
No message, it just popped up as a new video on YT (as a preview to this game), perhaps cool for some people to look at something from the past…
I know, was a joke mate ![]()
A silly way of adding a second meaning to “not long term”.
In front of Wirtz, at number ten ![]()
Good one from Maresca there.
Thanks as it was confusing ![]()
Yeah, well, I thought that Mascot was being a little vague about whether Wirtz should be at number ten, behind Isak ![]()
I love it. Thanks mate. ![]()
This is a very good point by Maresca.
When I read the criticisms, from us and from outside the club, it does feel like we easily brush over this. I’ve read countless tactical analysis who simply ignore that aspect. We could be more mindful of the circumstances at time.
As a supporter, you can simply “forget” about it most of the time, but as a person having daily shared the physical space with Jota, sadness will we forever be echoing from the empty space he left.
Very true. We all forget that players are in the end humans and lot of factors which are not visible do affect them. It’s so convenient to think they should just forget everything and perform no matter what happens off the field, but it is not easy. I remember Alisson faced such a patch and we got to know later his father had passed away.
Anyways, match day. From doubters to believers today ![]()
The day when it all clicks.
0-2 to the mighty Reds.
I can totally understand why they did it, but at the time it was announced I thought it was a mistake to leave Diogo’s place in the dressing room in situ. I don’t think the players need that aching reminder of their grief before every game. I also think the twenty minute tribute needs to stop soon too.
As painful as it is, the club needs to move on at some point.
probably fair to say the dressing room thing had the players input, not some mandate from upon high.
as for the chant, they get all sorts of abuse during a game and songs sung at them, a tribute to a great friend i doubt would have anything but a positive affect on them if any affect at all.
without wishing to sound insensitive,
i’d like to think that Slott tried to get it into the players head
something along the lines..
lets go win this EPL title for Diogo,
i’m sure Diogo is looking down from above and willing us to win
I’m guessing that taking the Wirral line to Chester is a viable option. No overhead wires on the underground.
Nice acknowledgement from Maresca.
Grief affects different people in different ways, even when the death of someone has been anticipated, never mind a tragic accident.
Sometimes we may dream of our lost friends or loved ones, maybe wake up thinking of them, or even whilst walking down the street, eating dinner, watching tv. Perhaps even during a football match, as you look up to make a pass and suddenly remember who’s not there.
