On the first half I’ve just seen, I’d even fancy Gomez to come on and get 1.

Just want us now to look solid in midfield, get some shape so when we lose the ball it doesn’t turn in to a chance for them
Well I loved the Ekitiké goal - take it on the break and as calm as you like, then two from corners. If we could actually defend then that’s a lot of our problems improving.
It’s a bugger with Frimpong getting injured. He was looking quite effective going forward.

Anyway Frankfurt to defend have to flop to the floor hoping the ref gives them a free kick.

Can’t help but feel we need more. We look so dodgy at the back I can’t imagine 45 minutes without conceding. Especially if they bring their strikers on.

We’re not playing with a recognised DM, Jones and Szobo’s natural instincts being more attack minded is to follow the ball up instead of holding their positions.
Maybe the back 4 should recognise this and push up 5 yards.
Let’s not get carried away just yet.

Yep 2 chasing the ball, when one should be central, depending on which side the ball is on
As soon as Hugo took that ball in his own half and had a run on the defender you just knew there was no way he was going to fuck it up.
