Great 1st 35 mins, then took our foot off the gas and let them get some control without them doing anything, gotta watch runners when Grealish has the ball

Everton only got some of the ball because Grealish persisted in diving to the ground like an absolute twat , Nidyaye with those ridiculous fouls. One more foul on Salah by Gana i think.
The referee needed to book those.
Fabulous first half hour, easily the best we’ve played in the league.
We’ll probably see more of the last 15 in that half again in the 2nd, can see them making an error or 2 which leads to us countering and getting a third.

All so good till the second goal and we’re letting them back in the game unnecessarily. We didn’t concede before half time thankfully. We’ll obviously win this even if we concede 2 but hope the team wakes up and gets back to how we started the game sooner than later.
If Bradley gets booked after another clash with Grealish, we could see Frimpong coming in.
As for the midfield, we could see Macca depart for Wirtz in the 60th or 70th minute. As for the attack, we might see Isak for Gakpo and depending the scoreline, Rio Ngumoha for Ekiteke.
Bring on Isak and Wirtz at the hour mark to kill them off, then Endo and Robbo to secure the win.

Half time report. Coffee good. Dogs fed. Heart rate low. It’s all a bit easy so far!
I wanted 3-0 before half time, greedy I know, as it looked like we sat back and gave them 10 mins before half time. I suppose they have some agency too. They had a couple of half chances, but overall, this is brilliant.
We have been physically up for it, and fair. And we have had the quality to go 2-0 up. Very professional. Ideally we get the next goal and Everton just fade. There’s a slight risk Moyes will fire them up to try to get them back into it first 15 second half, so we will have to match that.
Then they can deal with Isak, Wirtz and Rio later on.

We played like champions for 35 minutes.
Gakpo has been pretty poor. Despite his contribution for Grav’s goal. I’ll probably sub him off for Isak and make Ekitike play from the wings.
Macca’s getting kicked at way too much. I think he needs to get hooked at some point of time too.
Finally Wirtz to come in for Soboszlai.
We need Crouchy on all our games when on TNT.
