At work yesterday our token DEI hire (all workplaces in Merseyside must employ at least one Everton fan) was asked if he had any plans for the weekend by a female colleague with no interest in football and said he was going to be at the pub all day to watch the most important match of the season then celebrate with a few pints.
I suppose if it’s the closest you ever get to a cup final then this constitutes a big game, LFC are just slotting it in between the opening Champions league game and giving the youngsters a run out in the league cup.
Let’s hope we get the usual 3 points without any drama or GBH

Strong title winning midfield from last season back for the derby. That makes perfect sense. A strong bench as well for later in the game.
Worried about Kerkez…bitters will target him for his fouls…and his pen area defence…also his mind set…seems to get wound up easy…
