I disagree thats a clearer penalty than a red card clearly takes the foot away gave a foul on Douglas for the exact same thing.

Positive note was a good last 15 minutes to the half.
Villa with 20 second long throws from the off. Digne in particular then steps a foot over the line. The goal stemmed from one of those as well.

Are we sure that it isn’t PGMOAL, that is in charge of officials? Professional Game Match Officials Against Liverpool. Holy crap! This is frustrating.
Shame they’ve decided to throw in a first half performance like that after the run we’ve been on. Not a single shot on target. Another dismal performance by the officials to top it off.
Henderson and Robertson in particular will be lucky if they aren’t hooked. Midfield has reverted to type as soon as its come up against a half decent one again.
I’d rather Klopp had played the kids and let Arthur, Milner, Bobby, Oxlade got a run out than seeing the 1st team fail to turn up again.

There was the earlier situation with Diaz running through and two handed shoved off the ball. Not even a foul. Was last man, albeit wide on the field.

We played quite compressed (vertically) there and we are overloading their last line with 5 of our players playing off the shoulder. Lobs from Konate, Virg, Fab and lots from Trent tell me that’s a very deliberate plan and we feel we can pick off a goal or two playing this way. We’ll see.
So far we have got ball to feet a few times to players behind their defence but just haven’t controlled it to get a final shot. I think if we stick at it as the Villa players tire we’ll have a few successes.
I see this as a 3-1 result to us. Salah, Gakpo, Bobby.
