Pre Match - Liverpool v Bayer Leverkusen, 5th November 2024- 8pm (Happy Bonfires Night)

Love Xabi but I think the next time he shows up at Anfield will be as Man City Manager. So time to say goodbye.

Why would he do that? I’m not sure there’s much of an incentive besides £££.

Managing a team in the lower leagues might be a challenge?

Play like the second half against Brighton and we win.

9 points gives us the luxury of not having to win so we can rotate a bit for this one.
Maybe start Bradley and Gomez at the back, Endo with Jones and Szloboslai in midfield.
The continued absence of Jota, Chiesa and Eliott is really frustrating.

We absolutely need more points and we’ll probably aim to qualify as soon as possible. Big games in the CL coming up. Home game also. A few changes maybe, as we already did yesterday, but no doubt we’ll put a serious side out there and aim to win.

Nah, I think when he leaves Luverkusen, it’ll be for 1 of us, Real Madrid or Bayern. Doubt he would go to anyone else.

Our job is taken. I think he is nailed on for Madrid.

It is at the moment, but what happens if Slot goes and wins the treble and Madrid decide they can’t allow us to keep our shiny new toy and steal him away from us next summer?

You spelt both “when” and “quadruple” wrong.

Guess I will be re-enrolling in Cynnie’s Center For Kids Who Can’t Spell Good And Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too

Hundred percent. Real have basically put out their stall for Alonso and TAA next summer.

Which stand? You’ll have to give us a wave. Bloke that looks exactly like Klopp - we can’t mistake you!

Was helping the rec soccer league here so wasn’t able to watch but catching up now. What a fucking goal that was by Kadioglu.

I don’t want to lose the winning habit.

Play the best available team and win. There is still Madrid to follow. I know Madrid is in the dumps but we have had problems against them in the past. .

Give Xabi a nice welcome and then outplay his Leverkusen side which would probably make Xabi regret the fact that he didn’t join us.

Yeah, our historical record against them is 3-1-7.

And in the period between 2018 and 2023, it’s 0-1-5.

Always looking forward playing these biggest clubs, regardless what form the two teams are in at a given time, but they do have our number lately that’s for sure.

First things first, Leverkusen. We haven’t faced them in competitive games since those two wins in 2005.

Yeah, but that’s due to the German clown we had managing us at the time.
