Pre Match | Liverpool v West Bromwich Albion | PL Matchday 15 | Sunday December 27th 16:30h | Anfield

This game is a perfect fit for Ox and Shaq who have got a long range shot in them. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ox for Gini if we don’t get the second soon…

he was aight!!!

We haven’t tested the keeper enough. Robbo needs to mix the crosses up, pull a couple back for runners from midfield.

That Mane celebration was the Lee Swan one

Clinical for sure.

Totally OK with 1-0 at HT. Peril-free first half. No need to tempt fate with a prediction from here. I’d still be satisfied with a 1-0 at FT.

Good opening 15 minutes and a nice chest down strike by Sadio.

Big Sam will be happy to still be in it, and he’ll be looking for 80 min to still be within touch, then his “steal 10 yards” lump it in throws will come into play.

We’ve just got to be switched on in this game, and if it’s 1-0 at the end, so be it.

we do need a bit of gile in the final third…maybe we should have started with four forwards as this lot doesnt even wanna get out of their own half

5-5-0 from West Brom. Not exactly a shock.

We just need to continue to be patient and when we get another chance make sure we take it. Another goal kills the game.

yep… we need one more

Playing the way we are, hard to believe it’s only one. Surely, the way BIlic set them up we would have scored more. Even with Sam’s constipated shape, they’re still woeful in defense, letting corners hit the floor and so forth. Lucky to get out of the half only one down.

the flip side of this is we will be fresh for the next go around in a few days

HT 1-0:

The game which could be expected before it started: one-way traffic in WBA’s half, eleven players behind the ball on their side, defending everything with all they have while letting us have the 100% of possession.

Fortunately, they switched off a few times. The first one, it was Furlong letting lose of Mané for one second, and it was 1-0. World-class first touch from a great through ball from Matip, and a world-class shot to bring it home. Brilliant. On one or two other occasions, our lads could have done better, but lacked a bit of clinical finishing.

As long as a second goal doesn’t go in, the match will continue like that. Hopefully WBA’s legs will become heavier and heavier, and then our lads’ quality will hopefully shine through on our chances to come.

No lapse of concentration at the back please, and fingers crossed that we can bring these three points home. :crossed_fingers:t2:

It’s games like this when Thiago would be useful.

Funny that the commentator said all West Brom players get into their half as soon as we gain possession. I saw them get into their quarter, that’s how deep they were.

Their GK made the most forward passes :innocent:

Three missed passes out of approx. 80 is not sloppy.

The 3 points and no injuries is all that matters today.
