Great half of football. Andoni Iraola will be furious that his side aren’t level and that Liverpool haven’t had a penalty. As for Mikel Arteta, he won’t want to see his Arsenal side get dominated like that again.

First 15 mins or so was a scrappy game, with Arses having more of the ball and us looking for quick breaks. Arses had their full tactical foul game out. No yellow, even for blocking a one-two. And the theatrics went getting a slight touch is on display by them as usual.
Ali messed up with the build up play, and we got punished. A good ball by Rice, and one of those rare ones that went right the way through to the back post.
After that, it was all us. Unfortunately, nothing to show for it. Arses will have their moments in the second, so we need to come out positive.
As for the ref, again, it comes down to the wrong side of subjective decisions. We’ve been here before.
Alisson messed up which led to the goal and we should’ve had a penalty. Played well since Arsenal scored.

Whole highlight package and no mention of the clear missed penalty…was Trey lucky to stay on the pitch did get covered though

The start of the season, apparently, keeping hold of the shirt in the box when it is impactful on the player will be a pen.
Dermot Gallagher on the next ref watch - yes, he has hold of the shirt, but it is not impactful and lets go in time. No pen. Good decision.

the only stat I’m interested in is who scores the most goals…
