I thought it was a good performance but we didn’t have a shot on target, which is concerning. Maybe if the ref and VAR had done their job and given the penalty, we would’ve had a shot on goal.
But lots of blocks
Gutted here. Was hoping for at least a draw. Only upside is that there’s still a lot of football to go.
I did! We were not potent enough in the final third…Arsenal defended well but we didn’t get anything more than two shots on target, even the disallowed ones.
We just seem a bit disjointed in attack. It will come.

Our quick pass and move, give and go is what is lacking.
Older viewers will remember the days when spending £100m on a player to have little influence in the game would seem quite unthinkable.
Simple, better team lost, but that happens
Infuriating. Arsenal have been playing like a peak Atletico Madrid for a long time now.
We were the better side in the first half and should have been at least level going in. In the second half we lost our shape a bit after Trey came off. We can all see it, and Iraola has one or two huge decisions to make about big name, high wage, expensive players.
Arsenal kept going to ground and winning free kicks. Whenever we went near them they would flop over, and the ref would blow his whistle and oblige.
Fine margins, but I would say we are currently just a little bit behind them, even if I can’t stand how they go about their business.
I’m proud of the fight we showed, and citing this stat or that to cut down the reds is wide of the mark for me today. Arsenal are horrible to play against. We went toe to toe and another day it could have been different. We fought to the bitter end, but they shit-housed their way to the three points, and won’t care because they got what they came for.
We are a work in progress, but we are not too far behind. That midfield is a concern though. Trey played his way into the side, and in a funny way, the difference in the team after he came off might just show his value all the more, moving forwards.
Any team that drops eleven behind the ball when under pressure like they did today, to me, is not exactly a masterclass in defending because it blunts their attacking flair…
They scored and were in a position to play with so many behind the ball… winning 1-0 is a moniker that is following them round.
They won’t be getting any better under Arteta he has reached his limit… meanwhile, we have a good chance with Andoni to continue getting better and better…
The signs are looking good
I was hoping when Szob was coming on it was to play as a RB in place of Ronnie, not for Trey, as Macca and Trey were bossing the midfield battle.
We did have a “shot” from Macca but Sky were creaming over the stat for whatever reason.
Can’t watch Arsenal. They’re more interested in falling over than playing football.
I don’t know why more players don’t just mock the floppers. Laugh at them, take the piss, make it clear they’re just pathetic.
It’s genuinely embarrassing watching professional athletes do what they do and the refs clearly have no interest in curbing the behaviour either.
We had our fair share of moments though.
Wirtz hitting the bar. The Virg flick on when Isak almost crept in. Macca’s header. Isak blazing one over early 2nd half. Flo twisting in the box but not being able to get the power behind shot.
I’d still rather be in our position than any other team’s so just STFU.
I can’t remember it, but then I can’t remember much these days.
It’s okay. Take it on the chin and let’s keep moving onwards and upwards.
Refs are going to do ref things. We need to be vocal about this as much as possible. Including taking some fines if need be.
Not a ton of clear chances, and it’s hard to be angry with him given his form this season, but a shocking miss from Macca.
