Good result for us so far, especially with the other results going our way. But we aren’t home yet. A second goal is needed, as we have seen that Crystal Palace can get clear-cut chances in this game.
It’s really vital to bury one of these chances we carve out for ourselves, if possible quite soon into the second half. The encouraging point is that Crystal Palace have been less aggressive since Mané’s goal. If the lads stay 100% focussed and manage to bury one of the chances which will come, we should be able to carry it home, fingers crossed!
(Edit: how lifting is it to see these 10k fans inside Anfield? The YNWA brought tears to my eyes.)
He was crap for us, no doubt, but he aint a bad manager. Did great with Fulham and has done well to keep Palace up given they looked gone when he joined them.
Would rather have Woy about for a few more years than see Gravy Boat Sam back in the league
That Townesend miss was huge. We were playing lazy in the first few minutes and gave them some chances. Not so much after 25’ or so. I think Palace will struggle to get the equalizer, giving us more chances.
