How ? He chose to go on strike, he is now failing for match fitness by his choice and his actions, and by us paying for this petulant player we are now suffering for it be having to play him in the hope he justifies the price.
He should have stayed at newcastle and did preseason and stayed fit and if we wanted him , which we did he still would have come.
As it is he is shit and totally the wrong player for us just by his actions, and because of it slot, edwards and hughes should be given serious bollickings by FSG.

I know inverted full backs and underlapping runs have been the fad for a few years now but I don’t think it works for this team.
We’ve got Gakpo and Salah standing on the touchline while Kerkez and Szoboszlai try to get into the FB-CB channel. That makes no sense. I want my attackers close to goal not my defenders.
Get Salah and Gakpo tucked in more, get the FBs to overlap on the outside and stretch the defence.
I don’t like our buildup play, not really sure what the concept is for creating chances.
