This seasons jyat gonna end up a huge flop.
New players either atent up to standard or ready. Mot sure which.
As I said earlier it’s not only about Konate. Too many of our players aren’t at the required level to play against city
Konate, Grav, Ekitike have all been poor. We need more from Szobo, Salah and Wirtz.
The keeper, the captain, Robbo and Macca have all been on for me

That was a massive brainfart from Robertson on the corner. He had no right to be in this advanced position.
Ekitike should be more proactive defensively. Gonzalez shouldn’t have the time to shoot.
All in all very poor offensively

Had he made context with the ball, it would be offside. But because he ducked underneath it, that is an ‘obvious action’ and therefore it’s offside.
Ekitike has had no service and yes he has but they have too many options, to close down effectively the whole team must commit and we haven’t

I was talking about us though, having limped through the last month or so then played out if our skins in one of the biggest games if the season.
VAR is a decent idea. PGMOL is not.

Despite the obvious corruption from the officials we aren’t even laying a glove on them, it’s so predictably tepid again. We’ve become a soft touch away from home.
Even if our goal stood, they could have had more and have produced more and have played better. They are much better than us. Deflection comes because of their very good pressure and can happen when you lay siege to a team, like they did with us. But sure, 2nd was “lucky” as such.
But I don’t know if I agree that this is so embarrasing. Just a cold reality check, after the Real Madrid game.

While all these are true, it’s still incredible how lucky they’ve been. 1-1 should have been the half time score. I understand one deflection being the occasional, normal luck you can get in a game. But to get that twice, and on the other side to find a way to cancel our goal, is just frustrating. Doesn’t feel fair at all…
I hope we come out better in the second half and get an early goal, because we can…nowhere as good as we can be so far.

Atleast we should let NGumoha run with the ball against their defense instead of Wirtz. We haven’t given that kid a fair chance after his stunning goal. He was brimming with confidence but we haven’t utilizes him bringing him after 85 minutes. Je would have done what Doku is doing against us.
