I’d like Salah to play between the FB and CB not always on the outside of the FB, completely negates him as a threat and he seems to far away from anyone for an effective link up.
I think on the 2nd goal there was a mix-up with defensive positioning, no chance that we actually wanted to allow several players to be on the edge under no pressure. There were four players marking one at the back post so I think at least one of them were in the wrong place.
Obviously we have to take some more chances now and press higher up the field, the mid-block can’t stay. It’ll mean a few risks defensively but aren’t going to score twice as the game is set.
I think the penalty decision was Oliver making the point that he would give any old bullshit to City. Not intervening on the goal offside confirms it.
So, it looks like that cunt is ruining another game of football. I’d like to to say that he is the most disgusting thing that City’s owners have ever paid for, but given that they are currently funding a genocide in Sudan, sadly it isn’t.
We’re away in one of the two hardest games of the season. That is enough of a challenge without the refs smacking away every foothold you get in The game.
Carried our league form into this match after a great display against RM. Our defence is very poor as is the midfield. We need some serious work on getting our defenders to close people down and not stand three or four yards away from the opposition.
I think we should push higher…Wirtz and Salah to get narrower, the CBs to challenge for the first ball while the 2 CMs recover the second. Bradley and Robbo/Kerkez to get wider
