Well, obviously it’s an unfamiliar system and a big risk to play it with no time to prep.
But I’m seeing criticism that they are just standing still and allowing PSG to pass, and to me that’s a really woeful misreading of the context. This probably the most accomplished passing team in the he world, and they want you to press them. That’s how they get the space to cut you open. We need to hold the shape and not get sucked into rope a dope challenges.

First one was a good tackle
He was exposed in that position against that opponent and so very unlikely to be able to hold him up. If he doesnt take him down there then there is a very real possibility it turns quickly into a descent chance. It was a proper take one for the team hack
