The irony is that we haven’t. We’ve been really strong defensively under Iraola. It was piss poor tonight, but that doesn’t mean we must ignore our recent record.
Villa beat these 6-0.
An elite side probably thump these 26-0
We just lost to them.
Weve conceeded 10 in 4 CL games?
Koumas should’ve started. Barcola as the nine for 60 mins was a complete waste.
Three defensive errors. CL can afford to slip up, so that’s not a problem. Need to pick up a win before the international break.
Planned on watching this one.
Checked the score.
Scrolled the thread
Nevermind.

Started well controlling the game and rightfully scoring, quieting the crowd, then someone decided to start hoofing it aimlessly, followed by a poor decision from the ref giving a non freekick and someone being a pussy in the resulting wall.
Get back in front and then another balls up at the back followed by another shit goal where no one challenges for a looping ball.
No point being in denial about it, he’s been below his best so far this season and hardly set the world alight last season either.
Another disappointing result, Trey probably our best performer. VVD and Ali declining and Jaquets worst game. Midfield is unbalanced - I think some January transfers might be required
Our horrible form against Turkish teams, playing in Turkiye, continues. 1 win, 1 draw, and now 9 losses. Incredible
There is no denial about it. He is still a quality keeper.
He got in his own head tonight after the second goal. But there were others far more at fault than him.
No, as Szob did bugger all in the 10 role on the ball or off it, in hindsight, Ronnie should have come on as a full back, and we would have never conceded the 3rd.
An elite side probably thump these 26-0
Don’t be silly.
Not good enough. We need to be better than this in Champions League.
When do we get the new manager bounce?
Tonight? More like in his own head all season.

We know was Szob is good at. I’m much more concerned at what he is poor at, which is basically everything when he doesn’t have the ball at his feet.
27-0?
The problem tonight was Virgil and his complete dereliction of his responsibilities. When your captain doesn’t want to know, it affects all those around him. The lack of leadership is obvious now.

He has been good this season. The odd wank pass, but he had that in his locker when he was the best in the world.
Bad day at the office. There’s margin to spare to still qualify, but you don’t like to see an iffy game. A couple of those goals were really poor from a defensive point of view.
The biggest concern for me was the lack of fight. They were up for it, boosted by their crowd, while we just sort of dawdled about our business.
I am concerned about Szoboszlai. Tremendous highlight reel, but he does not look like an effective player in an Iraola side. He’s not the only one there, mind.
Alisson made some good saves but that won’t be what is remembered, such is the life of a goalie. For me he is still a good goalie, but clearly he is past his imperious best. Not unlike VVD in that regard. You can’t rush to put them out to pasture, just because they aren’t superhuman any more, but you are allowed to wonder how long they will be playing for Liverpool from this point on (this will be the last season for both, is my guess).
Let’s end on a positive note. Trey Nyoni. More of him please, and I don’t care what big name midfielder has to see some bench time to make it happen.
