Wouldn’t be against Jones starting for Maca but that’s what I would go with.
Of course I hope for a win, but frankly I’ll be surprised if we do. Would be ok with a draw
Ali injured again…
I’m not buying the Salah (Knock) and Becker (unknown injury)
It’s a polite way of telling Egypt and Brazil respectively, do not dare call them for these pointless internationals as you already know they are the best players in their positions anyway
That would be cutting our noses off despite our faces.
Ali gotta be the only keeper to injured doing nothing in the previous game
And that’s the reason why I think it’s too sussed!
There was no noticeable injuries for either of them in the game on Wednesday. But as it was a late evening finish and the next premier league game is the earliest possible start on a travel down to the south coast, then maybe the club has agreed that these 2 key players go on a holiday with their families for the next 2 weeks as they need to be available for these crucial April matches in quick succession ![]()
Ali is capable of tweaking something with a moderate intensity sneeze.
That sounds similar to a Chuck Norris (RIP) meme ![]()
Would rather keep Gakpo on the bench and play Wirtz further up, bring Rio or Jones in.
If we take the last performance into this game, I think we’ll be okay. Looking forward to it really.
Blitz em
11.30pm here, so finished by 1.30am. Not too bad except I can’t just switch off at the final whistle and go straight to sleep. It takes at least an hour to calm down. Oh well, we’ll see what happens.
Let’s hope we’re all in a good mood wherever we are.
Timezones Thread
Alright. After being a bit giddy after Wednesday starting to get a little concerned by the early excuses regarding turnaround times.Isnt this why the players had their breaks a few months ago? We’ve had these turnaround times for years and we’ve managed through them.
Sorry WAH, but it’s a very short turn around for me. The missus isn’t going to believe that the Reds are playing again so soon, and especially not at midnight. She’ll be on the phone to the PL and I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes.
1:30am, I would normally stay up, but have a footy tournament tomorrow, 1st kick off at 9 am, so will get up early and watch the recording.
Based on Slot’s presser, I’m concerned it will be back to the league shape, with Dom at RB, Gakpo on the left, and Mac Allister trying to control a space bigger than he can cope with.
I reckon Gomez RB for this, frimpong in front of him
I don’t think Gomez will be able to start, considering what Slot said about him in the presser. Best case scenario on the bench and in as a sub only if there’s an emergency situation, that’s the feeling I got.
I believe it’s either Frimpong or if we don’t want to risk him from the start, some other alternative (will also depend on the shape we want to use). Could be Jones and Szobo down the right side.
So, it will probably be Szobo at right back, a complete waste in my opinion. While Gomez and Ramsay are both sitting on the bench.
