PreMatch | Everton vs Liverpool | PL Matchday 15 | Weds 12 February 19:30h | The last Derby at Goodison

The refereeing display was poor and got worse as the game went on. Both Everton goals are results of very, very dodgy refereeing. Ndiaye was not fouled, got the free kick and they score from it being taken quickly (which we should have been ready for).

Second goal is a clear push on Konate while he jumping for the ball. Not only is it so clear that it stops Konate clearing it, which he would have done, but it’s one of those horrible ones that can really hurt players. It’s not only a foul against Konate it’s a yellow card for Beto but I fully expect that will be completely glossed over.

In the whole game I can only think of two bad tackles by Liverpool - Jones and Bradley. We got 20 fouls against us.

There were 5 separate free kicks given against Liverpool today for times when Everton players clearly dove to the ground without contact.

In the final few minutes of the game we had Nunez get hauled down and then held on the ground by Tarkowski and the referee failed to give a penalty. He also played on when Salah was breaking and got cut down.

As I said earlier the happiest person in the ground today is Michael Oliver who walks away patting himself on the back for “managing” this game into a 2-2 draw. He set out to make this game as close as possible and he gets it in the end. He made the game a complete farce to do it, but he completed his objective.
