Difficult to say whether this is good or bad. Some of our lads really need a week off, 6 or 7 out with injuries or suspension and would have been playing in conditions that would have been a real leveler.
On the other hand the blueshite aren’t used to playing 3 games in 6 days so that could have worked to our advantage.
On balance I think it’s best it’s off.

Sorry for everyone who had tickets, especially if they’d travelled, but it’s good news for us. A much needed rest for the likes of Robbo and Virgil, and more time for others to recover from their injuries.
Great for me as I was looking at getting five hours sleep (not enough for me).

Rescheduling to February should be a reasonable choice as we will be unlikely to be involved in CL playoffs. Let’s make sure we get a result in Girona and make that a certainty.

Agreed. Can play a strong wife against Girona and make space for this game in Feb. Given the Anfield return is in April, don’t want this game in April/May if it can be avoided.
