Prematch - League Cup - Tottenham vs Liverpool 1st Leg Weds 8th Jan 8pm

We lose too many duels, and our pressing is not effective. Their pressing is very effective, and leads to frequent loss of possession, even if not immediately.
Slot is talking to players, so I hope we can see improvement soon.
Their keeper looks very prone to mistakes, I hope we test him a lot (and more than what we just saw).

RIP Spurs, false centre-back coming on. You won’t know what’s hit you…

Hopefully he takes it as a good mental learning process. Everything has been pretty easy for him at youth level, decent loan spell and straight into the Liverpool first team. Now he’s had to deal with being subbed at half-time, being on the periphery and now an injury.

It’s no bad thing for a youngster to face some adversity.

Have we forgotten spurs have a dodgy defence.

We see your Alfie Gray being played at CB and raise you a Wataru Endo.

No, but we also haven’t forgotten that it’s still the first half.

Slot with a pending nightmare next league game, we’ll play the most in form team in Europe, and the only team that has beaten us this season, and also away from home, with no CB backup. And they’re second in the league, if they beat us and Arsenal wins too, they both get three points behind us (even though we’ll have a game in hand, that’s with the bitters away).

Lovely stuff Bradley.

Come on Jota.

Are we in like the 8th minute?

Poor Diogo

Maybe that is what Arteta meant!

Just be careful…

Quansah’s injury was a bit weird as nothing really happened. About 2 sequences before there was something that looked like if he had an injry it might have been that (running back towards his goal and reached his foot up high to try to bring the ball down), but didnt show any reaction to it. Then a minute later having done nothing since he went down. I am assuming a delayed reaction :man_shrugging:

That should have been a foul to us

Virg indicated his chest…Quansah indicated his ankle…who knows
