I think we’ll play Diaz as CF. Robbo would make a comeback. It’s about managing both his and Tsimikas’s minutes and seeing if we get another LB in the Jan window.
I think we are being better coached at this moment than how we were in Klopp’s last season. This is not a dig at Klopp , more a dig at Pepijin who was more responsible for the coaching and in game tactics.
We don’t have an embarrassment of riches. It clearly is taking time for Quansah to get upto scratch in the Slot system. We rely on Gomez to provide backup. And that’s something that needs to be addressed. Not a slight on Gomez who hasn’t out a foot wrong against Brighton but that’s not depth. Especially seeing as he’s needed in RB/LB too to see off games too.
Hopefully we get to the Jan window with enough credit in the bank for Slot and the required targets to be available so that we make the changes to push for the title.

In short , smart transfers in for CB and LB. It would be a bonus if one of the guys could cover both the positions.

I think Slot mentioned that this was something Klopp would have done had he been in charge anyway.

I think we’re at the point now where we can say, not ‘This will be a big test for Slot’s Liverpool team’ but ‘This will be a big test for the opposition’. Even the so-called ‘better’ teams must have started to dread playing us. After all, the stats don’t lie.

I blame it on the lack of refreshing the squad. You can’t expect VVD to continue for ever. SBYM has done a great job, but rule of diminishing return has kicked in.
Then there are the squad options like Arminius who posts 10 times a month. I mean even Keita had more minutes.
