I know Dom is brilliant as a RB, but he should never play there, he is like our best player and midfielder

We’d definitely walk the Greek league, Europe’s sixth best competition.
It’s that extra bit of technical quality we’ve been missing in that area, the ability to turn and to pass with the weaker foot to beat the press.
We clearly build from the back better with him there, but he’s no natural defender in those positions. Definitely prefer him there with Dom in midfield though.

Overall apart from the 1st 10/15 minutes we have played well, just need a better finish or final ball, but that is the issue which has happened game after game.
We do have to watch out when we lose possession and to not over commit too many players whilst still pushing for a wnning goal or goals.
I’m watching via a buggy stream and what I see is a midfield missing a monster in the middle. Who is taking charge?
I think they’ve played pretty well in the first half.
You can can’t legislate for that Virgil handball, it was really mad. In general I think he’s had the air of a player who was wound up before a ball was kicked. Very un-Virgil like performance.
Mac Allister has had a good game, and looked closer to the player we know he can be.
But Szobozslai has been the stand out again. Whatever comes out of this, the learning point has to be do not move him out of midfield. He is our most important player right now.
Utopia? No. An improvement? Yes - and that’s at least a start. We need to push on in the second half. We’d lucky to have not scored more - there are definitely goals there.
