PreMatch | Liverpool vs PSV Eindhoven | CL MD 5 | Wednesday November 26th 20:00h

Totally agree, if players drop below what is required and needed then give someone else a chance, they may not be technically as good but if they give 100% effort then that will make up for it.

I would play Endo as CB before I would play Ibou there again…

This is our second most realistic chance of a trophy and its damn unrealistic at this moment.

We haven’t last at home for 1 day, so we on a roll.

Yes but I’d put Gomez at RB, Jones in place of MacAllister and Endo in place of Konate.
CB is Endo’s normal position and he can’t do any worse than Konate, can he?

Of course, Slot will persist with Szoboszlai at RB and with Konate as he seems to have no faith in any of our players who aren’t first team regulars.

Midfield is Endo’s natural position.

I think previously when he played CB (we can call it his alternative position), it was in a back 3 system.

I’ve reached the point now, when I don’t look forward to the next game and dread the arrival of match day. I actually enjoyed the international break, because it was two weeks without the stress of watching Liverpool play. Now, here we are again, just over 48hrs to the next game and I’m dreading Wednesday. As for Slot’s team selection for the PSV game, I’m just resigned to the fact the he’ll continue put square pegs in round holes and make weird substitutions, no matter if we’re winning or losing.

Let’s hope you last the ninety.

To be honest I was ok, I thought Man City had come too soon off the back of Villa and Madrid however I thought the signs of playing to our strengths was there in those two games.

However if we do concede first I might just turn off from now on.

I always look forward to our games if things are brilliant or bad, but I’m really not making any difference whether it’s Southampton in a cup home game or Real away. And even less looking at the fixture list. I couldn’t tell you who we face after PSV.

When we look like this, the opposition or competition doesn’t even matter, it’s us who have to improve and keep proving it for more than a win or two.

We’ve been far too easy to play against. We’ve lost almost half of our games played this season, drawing only once (or twice, if you include the CS).

I must be different, I always look forward to our games even when we are poor as I believe our fortunes will change with the next game or the next or the next.

For a whingeing old git I am surprised I am so positive before games.

Szobo back to midfield, Gomez right fullback. I’ll bench Salah for Chiesa and Etikite for Isak. Time to get back on track.

I’m sure he will pick the same team, except maybe Ekitike in for Isak. We have to go for it in CL, so he won’t make too may changes or take a risk. I’d like to see Gomez in at right back and Dom back in midfield. I’d also like to see Ekitike start on the left in place of Gakpo and keep Isak in the team. He needs the minutes for sharpness.

Oddly confident about this one. Probably because it’s a Dutch team that Slot knows inside and out and it’s the CL. Also, because there’s bound to be a reaction after the latest shitshow.

Not so confident about West Ham though…

Those Dutch sides can sometimes be pretty easy to play against or can bang in a few and cause trouble if you’re not on it. They won 6-2 against Napoli.

I do hope we can move Szobo out from the RB position, maybe another change or two (like Gomez and Jones perhaps), Ekitike back in and then let’s bloody win a game again.

Whose outlook is more bleak?

Ripley’s or Slot’s?

Trick question?

I would say Ripley - she succeeded (in that movie). Mostly…

Zero chance unfortunately. Obvious changes imo.

Can anyone confirm if Ramsey can play this or not?

Not that he will but he should if he can.

Anyhow luckily I’ve agreed to move my stuff from my house that night so no need to watch :joy:

Good luck with that MH. Maybe your move will fix the glitch in the matrix that’s made us crap.
