It needs a spark, and whether or not that is going to come under Arne remains to be seen. The more games that go by where we struggle, the farther away the spark looks.
I would imagine we are looking at the potential options, but you don’t sack someone unless you have another to take over.
Arguably the rationale for a sacking is to first stop the bleeding, with a temporary appointment. Then with the ship steadied you can run a process and put someone in who is going to build it again.
But I don’t know who a good temporary appointment would be, so for me, Slot continues in the job, but obviously it is getting precarious.
I disagree. If Slot did go and I am not quite there yet then a few months of stop gap Gerrard is not the worst option in the world.

It’s hard to say. Gerrard might rally the troops as an interim and get a bit of a tune that way, but on the other hand he might not get a response.
I think Slot should still stay in situ, but it is getting close now and some wins are sorely needed.
If Glasner has a 10M clause we might really ruin Parrish’s New Year with a Glasner - Guehi double.
But I am very much hoping Slot gets some wins on the board and turns this around.

Whatever happens with Slot, Gerrard is not the answer. It would be an appalling appointment, a panic reflect. A sop to the fans.
I know the run is awful, I know Slot is showing no signs of being able to fix it, but if we bullet a league winning manager after what happened in the summer for Steven Gerrard, we have to expect better than that.
As for it being a short term appointment? Gerrard wouldn’t see it as a short term appointment, and I’m sure a lot of Liverpool fans wouldn’t.
What if Gerrard gets the job, and does just about OK enough for their to be a clamour to make him permanent boss. FSG have been there before.
