My summary (somewhat misheard):

  • Talking about the golf or something…?
  • Mo’s contract. Slot happy. Relief for fans but Slot knew in advance.
  • Virg’s contract. We only talk about contracts when they are signed.
  • Would be nice if we won the next 8 games after league (Fulham) loss.
  • What makes Mo special? Humble man, brings effort all the time. Mo can score goals even when not at best. Mentally strong player.
  • How much Slot influenced new contract. Nothing specific but effort from club directors (i.e. money, laughs)
  • Premier league is very strong competition. Not to forget European competition as we played well.
  • What more can Mo bring? Playing for Liverpool means players will be at maximum of ability and near perfection. Mo is at maximum of ability, need to keep consistency.
  • In Fulham game, three mistakes cost three goals. Rest of performance wasn’t that bad. Football is always judged on goals. Second half much better.

  • Konate substitution in last game: Only a problem if swapped for another centre back. Swapping for an attacker or midfielder is always a tactical move.
  • Slot is relaxed in role as he trusts players and trusts FSG (couldn’t hear question). They will find solutions to new players when needed. Relaxed about situation.
  • Question about Trent contract, future. Will not talk about other players.
  • Alisson now fit and available again. Bradley can start again. Always a boost when quality players return, particularly in positions we need to fill.

I don’t think they mentioned West Ham once! Only the last question was related to the game.

West Ham are one of those teams who have a couple of good players who can hurt you when on form, but are mostly pretty poor.
We should win this easily, but with our recent form and what’s at stake, I hope we score early and don’t let them stifle us. If we win this we’ll beat Leicester and it’ll be virtually done. If we drop points, it could get nervy.

Arsenal will drop two points tomorrow. Saka won’t play and they will conserve a bit as they are going to win the CL on Wednesday. They forgot about PSG and Barcelona still in the competition.

A win on Sunday is essential. Its a bit of a test after losing last week, the most catastrophic event in world history, including tarrifs from Trump. The way some commentators and supporters view our second league loss is comical.

Anyway…
Salah will be buzzing and the scene is set. Another step towards number 20*

I do feel that this is a defining game in our season. Win well and we should be able to stroll to the finish line.

But I had this dream last night..or nightmare. We lost 1-0 after Arsenal had a 4-0 win. Scenes…

Yeah, I think we should try to win this one. The best plan would be to score some goals and stop them scoring.
Winning would definitely be better than drawing or losing.
