Grav was not bad on Wednesday, but was largely ineffective because he couldnt find a way to get involved. He was closer to poor today because the ball found him a lot and ended up being a dead end quite often. I wonder if Wednesday isnt a good opportunity to give him a bit of a break

It’s an interesting observation though. I wondered during the game whether it wasnt so much tiredness as complacency in that we proved to ourselves that we can score a third pretty easily if we need to without ever actually putting it on the score board. The reprieves gave Wolves a lift, and I wonder if it coaxed us into thinking the game was already in the bag.
I think it’s also worth pointing out that Cunha’s goal was properly special. Grav sold himself giving him time to pick out his spot, but it was still wonderfully well done and he has to be given credit for selling Grav in the first place. And without that bit of special skill the game remains a lot more comfortable.

"You can never breathe in this competition. I saw Arsenal’s 15-game unbeaten run and the gap has always been the same so that shows that we do. If you want to compete for something special then you have to win a lot of games in this league.
On his FA charge: “I’ve said before the game as it is an ongoing process, it is not smart to talk about it. We’ve seen the comments from the referee and now we can say our part. It’s down to a panel to decide if I get a ban.”

Yup it could or even maybe should have been 4-5 before they scored.
Maybe we got confused as we had lost the toss and given the Kop to attack in the first half.

"They got better and better, we got worse and worse. We had to show a different mentality which we did and got it over the line.
"In a season like this we have played so many great games, but in a season you want to win something you have to win the difficult ones as well when you are not playing your best. We were so close on Wednesday, this time we did survive.
"If you want to achieve something it is not only about bringing the ball out from the back or Mo scoring goals, it is also about defending.

A did chuckle a bit on Slot’s post game shown in the US where he went out of his way to say he agreed with both VAR over turns. Maybe doing a bit of a political fence mending there.
