Theres the difference between you and me, and more than likely between you and some other posters. Fun? Surely football is more than that? Surrly its a passion? The escape from the nirm that excites and exacerbates in equal measure?
To me at least, this fucking hurts deeply. I was admittedly naively thinking we might win this. The capitulation has been spectacular. The belief is gone, the pride and passion are gone.
Its over for Slot. 75% to be here next season? Not even 7.5%

It’s the mentality for me.
A pretty decent 30mins for us, and then we just let it go…something clicks the wrong way and we revert to boring, unispiring shite.
Every team we play seems to be quicker in thought, movement, passing than us, and that is unnaceptable.
Ultimately Slot will take the ( mostly rightly ) fall for this season. But there is probably 7 or 8 of the players who need to follow.

Indeed. That’s how football works. Managers tend to get the “vote of confidence” and they’re gone a week later
They don’t have to say anything. They certainly don’t need to put out statements saying they back him and they think that there have been mitigating factors outside his control.

Another point is that there is currently little competition in many spots in the squad. So, for example, Macca and Grav can stink out midfield and still expect a starting spot next game.

The thing that hurts is I had no expectation. Lying in bed at 7:15am after a long week contemplating if it was worth getting up or taking a well earned extra hour of sleep. That takes a lot to take that hope and enthusiasm from me
