Premier League 2020/21 (Part 1)

Pulisic looks frustrated. And I again I say this with the utmost respect because I’ve always been a big fan of the lad, but Kai Havertz is really overrated. I take no great pleasure in saying that. World of potential but he plays at the same speed, always, and can disappear at times. Also shows such little emotion. He will come good at some point but I honestly thought he’d have a bigger impact in a shorter time playing with higher quality players at Chelsea than he was playing with at Leverkusen.

True. NBC is showing MU vs CHE.

I think it is much too early to say if he will be a major success or not. He hasn’t played bad, but gone missing too much in his first games. One has to remember that he is new in a new team, and that most players need a month or two to settle in.
So I am not sure he is overrated. We’ll see. He is young, I wish him well like you (within reason, I wish him ill against us).

Well those two did fuck all again for Chelsea. Surely Ziyech would have been a better sub here though.

Either Lampard doesn’t know how to get the best out of him or Havertz is lacking in application. I think Klopp can get the best out of him.

I’m really glad we dodged the Werner bullet.

He hasn’t been there longer than a few weeks in a new country and pre-season has been shitty for most teams due to Corona.Just saying…

Oh absolutely agreed. I’ve followed his career closely. When the rumors surfaced he was coming to Chelsea this is actually what I feared for him. It was evident to me the things I saw Chelsea fans writing about him they had never actually seen him play. They will turn on him at some point. Not at all his fault but he was way overhyped. All that said, I thought he’d have a bigger impact quicker. He’s playing with much higher level players than he was in Germany.

Turdo Timo failing again. Has the penny dropped yet?

Agreed. There’s truth in this too. I’ve written about it before. No one knows where to properly use him. I’d love to see The Boss work with him.

Timo Werner was fantastic in the last game he played. Again, just saying. I think some of you judge players on other teams sometimes too harshly.
I know, I am boring but !

But from what I have seen from Werner this season, he would have done very well in our team imo. He is quality.

He was awful against Sevilla which was their last match.

He played well against Southampton (which is what I think you mean), a side that defends high up the pitch rather than in numbers. Literally the only type of game he can play well in.

I am not sure. I respect your opinion but I do think he can do more than just run at the goal and shoot. We’ll see. I thought he was amazing against Southampton tbh.

Let us just say that time will tell

Pogba could be world class if something or the other happened

That’s what he’ll do, play well in one game in 5 when the game suits him and pad his stats. Not a good player week in week out though.

Among all ‘top’ teams playing each other, United vs Chelsea is usually the most boring one if my memory serves right.

We’ll see, maybe you are right. I need to see him over a season to know for sure what I think of him but so far I have thought he has been a very important player for them.

AWB tried a Bruno

Do we not book players for diving anymore?

Chelsea have been crap second half. Lampard taking zero risks.

This game needs English Iniesta - Lingard.
