Pawson first and so far only once reffed a City vs Reds game. On New year’s Eve 2016 at Anfield. An uneventful 1-0 to us with two bookings against us, 1 against them. I’d take a repeat. Gini scored.

You have to be very impressed by Southampton. They even have a sympathetic coach that seems to suit them perfectly. I am certainly impressed by them. Today, they didn’t even have talisman Ings. Right now, they deserve to be where they are. Soon we will overtake them though, and the natural order will be reestablished.

Phenomenal. I always praised him before the 9-0 defeat, but many thought the 9-0 defeat meant that it was over. Some clubs may have sacked but they persisted. They are very lucky (and smart) they had ice in their veins considering how they ended last season and have begun this one. Who knows, they may even win one of the cups with some luck.

Utd have won more premier league games against Everton than any side has won against another in the competition’s history (36). I thought that would have been Liverpool.
