Don’t be so cynical
Obviously the media will hound him, partying during lockdown bashing other people’s vehicles etc etc.
Can you hold the edge of the carpet while I sweep something under it.

“Have to adapt”: Jose Mourinho delivers tough advice to rival Premier League manager.

We’ll see how Maureen’s players adapt.

At least when we play those Wednesday night/Saturday lunchtime games Spurs and Palace will have had more or less the same schedule. Both play Sunday and Wednesday so nobody has a clear advantage. It’s something I suppose.

These TV guys are out of control. The clubs must do something before those lunatics do something really disastrous.

They’ve moved the Wolves game back to 7.15 on a Sunday when we have the potentially must-win Midgetland game at 6 on the Wednesday.
It’s too much of a co-incidence now, it’s like they’re deliberately trying to sabotage our season.

Just checked the fixtures for December and there isn’t one game where we have any sort of advantage in terms of amount of rest between matches. Over Christmas and New Year we travel to both Newcastle and Southampton, both long journeys, where they will both have had an extra days rest on us.
This happens every season. I know because I check it every season. Just like when they cram a midweek PL game in somewhere, 9 times out of 10 we’ll play on the Wednesday night and the team we play on the Saturday will have had a Tuesday night game. This isn’t paranoia, it’s gone on for years because I’ve kept an eye on it. Too much of a co-incidence, like a number of things.

Be that as it may, it did not stop us from winning the league last year and winning the CL the year before. :sunglasses:

If we don’t win anything this year it is meanly because of thugs like Prickford and big nose IMO.

Maybe I should post it in the Funny Picture Thread

Its more impressive because its against the odds. Its in the face of savage bias.

Then again we do get an 8 day break before the game on the 27th.

When the PL had to finish the league earlier this year we had football Mon to Sun…and at the moment most of the games are not fan attended, and I know the PL, BT and Sky dictate matches, but why can’t the have more games Sunday night 7pm ko and Mon 5pm ko…giving teams more time to recover, if and when we are back to ‘normal’ with games go back to usual times…just a thought…

So do West Brom. That’s the thing, it’s ok if both teams are affected the same way but in our case it’s very rare that we get any extra rest on our opponents.
Right now the bitters are banging on about how they only get 48 hours rest before they play City on the 28th while we get 74 hours between our games. Why is Klopp moaning when we’re getting more rest than them? What they are missing, or maybe they’re not, is the fact City only get 48 hours as well while our opponents, Newcastle, get 96. And we have to travel. So while they dress it up as us getting preferential treatment the reality is we are at a big disadvantage.
Like I’ve said it’s something I’ve kept an eye on for some time and it’s no exaggeration to say it works against us 95% of the time.

What a wild finish. That second goal is a terrible keeper error. Howler.

EDIT: seeing the Cahill deflection.
