Premier League 2020/21 (Part 1)

Chavski have been poor this half.

I know it’s still relatively early days but I look at the table and all I think about are the 2 points that were literally stolen from us v Brighton. Unfairly stolen.

Short of options to change it round with Pulisic, Ziyech and Odoi out.

I expect them to drop a lot of points over the next month.

Despite their results I still think that Lampard doesn’t quite know what to do with his squad. Despite the hundreds of millions spent they’ve been carried recently by the form of Giroud who, decent player that he is, is probably as surprised as all of us that he is now the apparent focal point.

Everything about Lampard reminds me of Rodgers in that he will stick with something that works until it doesn’t then bumble about trying to figure it out while still being incredibly open. We saw it with the form of Tammy Abraham last season and we’re seeing it with the form of Giroud now. As well as the lack of option the inexperience of their manager will tell as well.

Completely agree start to finish. Really well stated.

As an aside, I have no idea what he’s doing with Havertz. Tonight it looked like he had him playing as a wing?

Bravo, Everton !

The table is looking better now. A draw between Manchesters and now 0 points for Chelsea. Very good.

Great result for Southampton and Leicester. We win tomorrow and we make the next game Chelsea play even less relevant for us. Good defensive display from Everton, it has to be said.

Don’t forget the two against Everton, too.

If Crystal Palace can play one of their better games, maybe tomorrow will also hold a nice surprise. As for our game, I honestly expect to beat Fulham so calculate 3 points there.

I dunno either. Again it’s a reminder of Rodgers when Bobby arrived and how he had absolutely no clue about what the player we bought was good at or supposed to do. Lampard is sticking him here, there and everywhere and he’s not really contributing while also denting his confidence. I know you think the mentality of Havertz is suspect and he may be a bit overrated but I think that under a manager like Klopp we would see a completely different player.

Again, agreed 100%. Another great post.

One of the things I posted here before Havertz even kicked a ball for Chelsea was my biggest fear for him coming to England would be playing for a manager that doesn’t know how, or where, to use him. He was even an enigma at times at Leverkusen with quite a bit of debate around what his ‘natural’ position was and where to use him.

Some people must have forgotten how these cunts behaved in the Derby and obviously don’t know any of their cuntish fans.

Eh, not sure about that. I do.

I still want Liverpool to win the league more than I want to see Everton fail. Anyone close to us losing is good news.

Not even sure how Pickford kept a clean sheet he was utterly comedic.

Anyhow not too bothered rather they beat Chelsea than lose, they will be crap again next week

Everton are thugs but I rather see them win than Chelsea, Chelsea is a competitor for the title, Everton is not.
