Premier League 2020/21 (Part 1)

When we don’t win, when we struggle, the even greater misery of another fan base is some what welcome. I am hurting from the Fulham game and what I predicted would be an easy win for us, so I do allow myself some of nature’s finest medicine tonight, Schadenfreude.

:joy:

It’s kind of been helped by the rest of the likely rivals having also fucked, we can redeem that with results next week, it’s more the injuries that concern me as to get those results we need to be able to field teams.

I was watching PSG v Lyon but I’m switching to this Arsenal Burnley affair. Looks like I missed all the excitement!

yeah, Arsenal struggles getting to their players, they had a red and what should maybe also have been a red (but was a yellow) and a down by a goal.

True, injuries are the main worry. Will be difficult to reach the highest level with so many top players out. Very difficult.

What did Xhaka do to get the red?

straight arms choke hold, playing at being Darth Vader.
Xaka Vader.

He was Xhaka, I had been wondering when that side of his game was going come up again, seemed to do it every few weeks when he arrived.

What a result for Burnley if this holds. And what a result for Arsenal!

50 years?!! Burnley hasn’t beat Arsenal in the league in 50 years?!

All joking aside, it’s bewildering how bad Auba’s form has been.

The longer this goes, the worse it will be mentally for them, harder to get out of it. Like Sheffield, losing and never winning, only drawing now and then, can become a mental struggle. And when that’s the case, relegation is always an actual danger. Not that I think they will go down mind you, but it is within the realms of possibilities.

Daft Xhaka.

You got to pronounce that with a Gungan accent.

Mikel Arteta and Chris Wilder could exchange jobs, and both clubs would likely perform better just on the change for change’s sake.

Why was Elneny only given a yellow card, when it was clearly a red for violent conduct? It looked worse than what Xhaka did.
The referee didn’t even have another look at it, the inconsistency just baffles me.

So only us, Everton, Brighton and Soton can have fans for the next week or so, not sure what the situation is for Boxing Day mind.

Cue loads of bleating about how we are being favoured.

Dendoncker just signed a new deal with Wolves. Interesting to see that it’s “only” until 2023. A bit weird. Can’t find info how long he had left on his previous one, if he “only” got 3 more years now? I know it was initially a loan with obligation to buy.

We play on a Monday, Sundays and Thursdays. Can someone remember the last match we played on Saturday at 3 pm?

Sack off the cup now…

To be honest it does give us some rest over Xmas, not a fan of Thursday kick offs
