Woooooooooooooow, only saw the last 12 min, but Arsenal was soooo good. Bullied Chelseas stronger midfield, I am officially surprised !
A big second half coming up for Mr. Lampard and his boys and an even more important coming up for Arsenal. Can they prevail ? Will they be able to last two halves ?

Didn’t realize Xhaka had that in his locker. Kind of a snoozer other than the penno and the free kick. Those were the only shots on goal. Chelsea look about as interested as Crystal Palace did, only with more quality. Funny moment when Rob Holding gave the ball right to Werner in front of goal. No worries he’d put it in.
Kieran Tierney’s been one bright spot for Arsenal this season, it seems. The few times I’ve watched them he seems to do something useful.

I missed the first 20 but bar Mount shooting about 15 and 20 yards wide I can’t remember much from Chelsea.

Arsenal didn’t let them get close, other than on one counter I saw (where Mr. Werner shot fizzled out). But I have only seen 12 min like you. But Arsenal ran faster and were, and this is a shock, more aggressive (!!!)

Think we dodged a bullet with regards to Werner… Doesn’t look like 50 million striker. May be partly due to Lampard playing him on the wings rather than upfront but going by what I have seen he couldn’t have done better than Jota not even considering the goala he has scored… Jota has an all round game to him rather than Werner who is very one dimensional…

I don’t understand it really. He is effective enough in creating space for his fellow team maters, he stretches midfield and defences after all, but…he must have an outrageously bad conversion rate now in the Prem. And it is not because there are better keepers than in Germany. Many of his shots are often wide off the box, not keeper food anyway.
Perhaps the gods are punishing him for his club choice and there is a karmic retribution for him offering himself to basically everyone with Top 4 ambitions. Not that I believe in destiny, but science has yet to categorically deny the possibility of divine intervention or black magic, lol.
