Pretty much universally appreciated is my impression from what I have read on here…
I do think he is not at the level he was when the hype was right up last season, but admittedly I have not watched a great deal of WHU this season.

Can play centre half or in different midfield rolls, seems very versatile.

We are nr. 1 on the table even with harsh injuries, 1972. It is not as if we are going through a saga of suffering, although Van Dijk and Gomez are going through very difficult situations privately. If dark shadows in shrouded rooms have decided to go all in against us, then these people are doing a horrible job and should hang their heads in shame.
It is not as if we have played that well in all our games, we don’t deserve that many more points, and yet, we are the best in the league.
I don’t see anything to complain about other than our injuries.

Yeah, good player. Decent at everything without being spectacular and a good leader despite being only 21. I think he could develop into a solid player for a top side in the next few years, kind of like a rich man’s Eric Dier.

I agree. Chavs linked to him and UTD have been talked about previously too I think. I’m always a bit wary of the over hyped English player though but having said that I think he could turn out to be a very solid player. Could he fill Hendersons boots long term?

But seriously, probably not. Do think he’d be a good option but I expect to see him at United or Tottenham soon enough.
I can see him at UTD alright, but it will take a big fee to get him there.
West Ham have been half asleep here and deserve to be behind.
Arsenal can feel Brighton’s breath on their necks if they win this.
Also, table, which I love to look at, is about to get stretched in the middle now. There is now a real gap between nr. 9 and 10. Remarkably, the gap between nr. 9 and nr. 1 is only a mere 6 points, though we have a game in hand (but so does several others in Top 9). Really, Top 9 is a thing right now.
Chelsea looks a bit stuck on 7th place, having played the full 15 games, having 25 points though. Otherwise, there is a lot of mobility in the Top 9. Very interesting.
Edit: I suppose it is going to look a bit better, for our eyes, if we beat Wet Brom today (which we honestly should). If Wolves also manage to beat Spurs, it would be fucking grand.

Personally I think Rice is one of the 3 most overrated players in the Prem. Glorified center half doing a job as a “holding” midfielder. I don’t at all get the hype, and never have. Check my posting history.
I have asked this repeatedly here and the socials but I can never get a quantifiable answer, what exactly makes Declan Rice such a star or “great” as I’ve seen him labeled? Yet just another “name” IMO.
I don’t think he’s a star at all, at 21 he’s a decent player capable of playing in a few different positions. He could be a jack of all trades, master of none of course.
Typically I think being English he is over hyped. Having said that I think he will become a solid, reliable type of player and will move to a bigger side. Many fans, lots of our own had similar doubts about Henderson when he was at a similar stage in his career.

He’s a good footballer. Good in the tackle, makes a few interceptions, decent in the air, decent on the ball. Regularly captains a mid table side at 21 and looks like one of their best players almost every time I watch them.
Pretty good by anyone’s standard that, certainly nowhere near as overrated as you suggest.
