Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

He was probably livid that his players played well today and got a win knowing he was on the way our. Shame, but they probably do need a change given they’re position in the table.

Bruce to the rescue?!

Players probably knew it too and put in that performance.

& rightly so.

I mean having the cheeck and audacity to actually win a game - Norwich are better off without that sort of insulence

It’s a pity Brighton weren’t that shite in 2nd half against us last week. Bissouma looked anything but a player today, I wasn’t impressed at all.

On the one hand, Farke had a good run. He won the Championship twice. Of course, he got them relegated twice and set the record for consecutive PL losses (across two seasons separated by a year). His side always played attractive football (he’s a bit of a German Eddie Howe). I wouldn’t be surprised to see him land a good job back in Germany.

Bit like when Rodgers got a draw in the derby.

Norwich obviously worried that Utd will be sacking Ole and after their preferred candidate

I noticed Norwich got a win, is this their dawn?
They are a much better team than their performances so far have indicated and the type of team we ‘should’ wish for in the EPL. Yes they have problems scoring and they have a few issues in defence but wouldn’t we much prefer a team like that than those Burnley types?
I still reckon if they sign a good striker in January they will remain with us.

Well said. Only my opinion of course but I like Farke, I think he’s a true gentleman and I like his style of football. He will be just fine, I believe he signed a new contract this past summer so he will collect on that. But like you said he will easily get a job back in BuLi.

The confusing thing for me was how dominant Norwich were last season in Championship but have looked miles out of their depth back in PL this season. And the last few weeks it appeared Farke was just throwing random ideas out to see if something would work. There is some disconnect and dysfunction behind the scenes.

I hope Norwich lose every single game for the rest of the season. Inconceivable sacking. I hope karma bites their balls off and that they go down and that they don’t go up again next season. And that is far from impossible. People who claim he has underachieved, well, I dare say they don’t understand the limitations of Norwich. To take them up twice in such a short time spam is a major achievement, far from all manages manage to do that. This sacking is as if relegation ought to be a surprise for anyone, of course it shouldn’t. Relegation for Norwich is natural and it would take a very special season to keep them up.
Fucking scumbag board.

They claim on a Norwich fan forum that he he got told after his media duties today (or last night), but I don’t know if that is true or not.

Anyway, my some what romantic relationship with that club is over. Because this decision to sack the guy who won them the Championship twice, managed to get them up again after they were relegated, is the most anti-romantic decision I can think of at this moment in time.

But maybe I am just grumpy. But I find this so abysmal a decision.

Now they will go for a coach they think can maybe manage to make them stay up, having lost faith in him. A very tough ask. However, if they go down again after having changed their system with a new manager, it is far from certain they go up again, so this certainly has potential to backfire, which I more than kind of hope it will.

If that is the case he deserves an Oscar for his post match interview. I seriously doubt that he knew his fate, given the positivity of his interview.

Horrible decision. They know they are a yoyo club and their success is in the Championship, and that their manager has worked miracles in thst respect.

Who saves them?
Bruce?
Allardyce?

Fuck them, they deserve what they get.

Couldn’t agree more with you, mate.

Norwich were my favourite smaller club (except for QPR, but they’re not in the Premier League) but this has put me right off them*.

Farke has done the best job he can, given the financial constraints at the club. He keeps getting them promoted, and not just by scraping through the playoffs but by romping the Championship, then sticks to his plan by playing attractive, open football in the top flight.

If the board don’t back him, it’s them who should be binned off, not him. I wish him well in his future endeavours.

  • Well, that and the fact they no longer make their own excellent in-house pies. They just order in crappy Pukka ones now. :-1:

I don’t think you would get many rival fans that don’t like Norwich, they always played attractive football probably a bit too nice and the manager was very respectable tried to do his best, I hope the club appoint someone similar and not a Sam or Warnock.

Playing attractive football is in their DNA I would be very surprised if one of those guys were given the job.

Conte looks like he’s attending a funeral.

The death of his football ambitions? :crossed_fingers:

He got told in the dressing room after his post-match interview:

I’ve calmed down now, and I have said what I mean about the sacking, but the way they sacked him too, is no nice way to treat any man.
