Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

If the bitters lose would Rafa’s job be under threat.

It seems the English bookies have Kjetil Knutsen as the most likely candidate. That doesn’t change what I feel about the sacking, but I would follow them a bit closer then. Because Kjetil Knutsen is very impressive indeed and he truly plays attractive football. But I think Solskjær’s failure will contribute to any coach that is Norwegian being less attractive, despite Knutsen working on minimal means compared to Solskjær in Molde. His results in Europe are also far better, particularly considering the squad.

But grumbles I while I would like Knutsen to be given such a chance, I don’t think Norwich deserves him. Also, he wouldn’t be able to keep them up this season anyway, because Knutsen builds players into his system and that takes a season or two which would lead to instants comparison with Farke and fan negativity, so probably a poisoned chalice.

Not sure where you’ve seen that…

On a flighty visit to a Norwich forum reading a Norwich fan’s claims. Almost happy to see that is not the case. My thanks.
I would laugh if they hired Frank Lampard instead to be honest. He is infinitely inferior as a coach to Knutsen. But I guess he has charisma and pull due to his status as one of the best midfielders in England.

Leeds vs Leicester has been a fun watch so far.

10 seconds between Raphinha’s opener and Barnes’ equaliser.

Two good Premier League teams that. One fairly wealthy and solid, one stylistic and unpredictable, yet always offensive.

You have to wonder what Frank has done to top that list.

Danny Rose is as thick as mince.

He really should retire, he just embarrasses himself now.

I don’t think so. Most clubs don’t have the demands or expectations of a Utd, and if he wasn’t a popular ex player, Ole would never have got that job. I’m sure there are plenty of good managers in Norway that could do a job in the premier league. We’ve seen Potter come in from the Scandinavian leagues and do a decent job. Ole is clearly not a talented manager, or coach.

Hard to believe they haven’t got a better option than him in the squad, he barely looks sunday league standard.

I hope you are, because particularly Knutsen, deserves a chance after this season. But mostly just him, no one else I can think of right now apart from maybe Solbakken if I were to be kind (but he is busy with the national team anyway).

I remember a few seasons ago, he used to be actually good. But that was before the fall of Spurs after the Champions League final. I still think sacking Pochettino and dumping his system was a terrible mistake no matter how bad they played the following season.
Now many of their former star players, run around like headless hen (yeah, I know he plays for Watford right now).

Bitters pen var.

Ref blew too early there, stopped a promising everton move so i cant see him overturning his decision now even tho the goalie got the ball first
