Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

Disappointing. Our announcer just called Man United a “Football Superpower.” No hyperbole there.

Manc looks much better organized, and surprisingly could actually press an opposition. For the players to be able to get the idea in such short time, colour me a bit surprised. Let’s hope all the running burns them out sooner in the season.

Haha I know they’re excited for this “new era” at United but look at those scenes having just beat Palace 1-0. Palace.

I’m literally feeling second hand embarrassment for Fred for the way he’s carrying on. :joy::see_no_evil::clown_face::clown_face::clown_face::clown_face:

Congratulations Manchester United for winning a game.

Hence my comment about Vieira’s tactics today. Establishing a high press against a side set up to play two banks of four with the forwards drawn in to support the defence is easy.

Arsenal’s position has deteriorated very quickly. Going into that ManU game, they looked like they could mount a challenge for 4th. They really need a win against the Bitters.

“It looked like the Manchester United of old. They were at their very, very best. They’ve answered a few questions. But not them all.”

What?

I mean their very best is on the hunt between 4th and 6th. So yeah fair.

Can they win a game - yes.

Is Pat Nevin a donkey? Yes

Ayew was shielding the ball well. Maybe he would be better in the Palace set up playing centrally rather than having pinball Benteke there. They needed someone in the middle to hold up the ball to allow Zaha to combine.

I thought they were pretty mediocre

I knew they would come out with this garbage

I’ll give Match of the Day a miss tonight. I think it might be unbearable.

Villa-Leicester is interesting, because I have the impression that something has shifted at Leicester for Rodgers - possibly due to his inability to disguise his interest/hope for the ManU job.

That was a lovely tribute to young Arthur.

I’m going catch up with the other two games on YouTube I think.

1-1 already

1-1.

Great game already this.

Leicester City have the worst corner defense in the league right now. That’s four conceded from corners in three matches, thus far.

One of my favourite sights in the game, the defender who played everyone on the pitch onside holding his hand up waving for offside after a goal.

I don’t even know why Leicester players even questioned the validity of the goal.
