Yes they always are reviewed. Not clear and obvious apparently
He should have gone to the monitor.

The Arse/WH has been a lie down and fake injury fest.
that’s fucking rediculous. always risky going to ground in your own box, but he still knocked the ball away before making contact with Laca’s leg.
Laca-bludclaat-zette?
West Ham’s bubble’s burst?
bombaclaaaaaat rude bwoy!
The mistake West Ham made tonight was, they didn’t kick Saka off the pitch, like Everton did. Tierney should be ashamed of himself, the way he went down holding his face, attempting to get an opponent sent off. He would be a good fit for Atletico.
Seems they rejected the postponement on that Leicester game because they seem to be appealing it based on injuries.
Of course Spurs would like to not play considering there is nothing wrong with them now.
Feels weird cancelling football matches because some of the players have positive tests, whether they are symptomatic or not. Yet week on week the stands are full of spectators some percentage of which are surely contagious.
The right answer there is probably not to go ahead and play the games as is - stands probably should not have been full. From an entertainment point of view though, we care about the players more than the people in the stands. As long as there is some integrity to the process, I more or less support the idea of postponing games if a team has been crippled. That Week 12 NFL game where Denver had no quarterbacks available was a travesty. If a league title gets decided by something like that, to me it isn’t worth watching.
Largely moot at this point, I think. By mid-January, Europe and parts of North America will be on the downward slope of omicron. I fear the 2nd week of January 2022 is going to be awful. But I have become rather fatalistic. The range of options is now as narrow as whether LFC would be better suited having the highest probability of missing players at home versus Brentford, or away against Palace the following weekend. Getting the peak to February 10, home versus Leicester isn’t really a credible scenario.
How shit must this league be that this pathetic Arsenal side are 4th and have lost 6 games already.
It’s quite a bit baffling to me that winning the league is a monumental achievement but 4th place and below is as bad as it is.
The top three are miles above the rest at the moment. Its a sign that the greatest league in the world (as per SKY) has many flaws in terms of quality.
Still probably more competitive than most though.
Not sure how the League Cup would work but I do reckon that a postponement of the weekends fixtures could help prepare the league for Christmas and might mitigate any further disruption over Christmas.
Wouldn’t surprise me if most games end up being broadcasted again and the curtail of crowds (As long as some crowd are there I’m not bothered, maybe limit to home crowds?
I also think a postponement of the Spurs game would help us.
I think we need to be careful what we wish for. Postponements will mean extra fixtures in Spring time. The clearer we keep the run in, the better imo, and right now, we have a pretty fit and healthy squad. Other than Nat, Elliot, and Jones, everyone else is available for tonight’s game. That might look very different in 2-3 months time.
I’d rather the matches are able to go ahead, subject to safety etc.
Most of their squad have had a lovely few weeks off…
I’d be against the league cup being moved as that just crowds the schedule but if this isn’t sorted then we are going lose multitude of games over Christmas and that would make the schedule even worse.
Thomas Frank is right.
On the other hand. We are having a good run.
They can cancel matchdays when Salah and Mané are gone.
Three more positive cases at Chelsea now. Spurs/Leicester about to be postponed as well.
Proof of the impact managers can have?
Brentford had 9 cases at the start of Franks press conference, then the media officer interrupted to tell him 4 more cases in the squad confirmed.
A postponement of games is coming, the question is will the P/L try to push through Xmas (lots of games andbig broadcast deals = money) before they make that call?
