Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

We had a much weaker team vs AC Milan, who play in the CL, where do Spurs play again? ECL? They didn’t even have the will to play the last game.

Possibly, but I really hope not!

Nosferatu, sacked in the morning, you’re getting garlic in the morning, cross in the mooooorning, you’re getting sacked in the moorning

Tuchel/Conte taking a hard line against the Premier League. Both want the League to stop until all teams back within the protocol limits.

I think the sheer dodginess of what they have been doing sets up that argument. The decisions as to when to play versus when to postpone have seemed utterly arbitrary, which sets up the appeal of a very simple alternative.

Dunno why Conte is moaning, his lot stopped anyhow.

At least that penalty Newcastle missed out on today has finally given Howe a new subject to moan about rather than the head injury one of his players suffered at Anfield…!

The injury his player didn’t suffer you mean.

Why didn’t Newcastle abide by the concussion protocols? If Haydn suffered the head injury, which Howe insisted he did, then why was he playing today?
Any player who suffers concussion, is not supposed to play for 10 days. The answer is, because there was no fucking head injury, was there Eddie?

Well he shouldn’t have carried on if Howe was telling the truth.

Anyhow can’t see them cancelling Boxing Day football so not sure what they do, get rid of the midweek fixtures on the 28th? Put in proper ruling, FL runs the league cup so they can’t pull that technically though the FL is also collapsing under its own Covid weight. 16 games I think we got out of 36.

Newcastle Arabia are launching an official complaint to the Premier League about the poor standard of refereeing.
Stems from the non-penalty decision in their game yesterdays… We should do the same me thinks

Money talks, mind you.

As bad as the Jota non-call was yesterday, the Newcastle one is a more jarring example, and much more obvious in photos. There is just no scope for other interpretations. I think it is going to be a while before an English ref is involved in the World Cup.

Not great news for us.

Interesting they’ve included a 13+ goalie rule.

I assume most of the weekend fixtures could have taken place then. As could most of Spurs games.

I’d try and keep our squad as isolated as possible we should I assume have potentially those three who missed Thursday back on Sunday. Hopefully Hendo is just Ill so he becomes an option.

As for game Wednesday if we can get the U23s playing then play them because frankly I wouldn’t want us mixing our first teamers in a stadium full of people with already 5 players missing.

Though I assume Leeds not having been hit they will be due it.

14 subs instead of 9, or?

Don’t know what difference that makes at the moment.

No 14 players…

So 3 subs effectively Amateur club rules

Yeah, that’s what I meant.

14 players on the bench instead of 9.

Teams can hardly put 9 players at the moment. :joy:

No it’s 14 players in total including the 11 on the pitch.

That’s how I read it anyhow.
