Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

Too much big brother! (Even so, trying to learn myself how ML works in the backend in things like search recommendations/text suggestions.)

my ex-wife has done remarkably well working with SEO-MOZ and running her own company based on an understanding of the web and digital media.

Happened to me the other day…

I looked up a word and the example usage was something positive about Annfield…can’t for the life of me remember what it was…

Anyways…I was well chuffed until I realised it is only because all of my Liverpool-themed boners have been archived forevermore on the line.

Not sure what takes the cake today:

Shearer at match week 5 commending himself for successfully predicting at the start of the season that Chelsea would win the league.

Or the statistical model that predicts the EPL champion based on money spent on transfers.

It’s a close one…

That Shearer article is great …

We are an after thought however we seem to be in his thoughts when he finally gets to us.

What’s the current rules on “tie breaks”?
We’re level with Chelsea in every column, but they’re technically top of the league - is that because they got a draw at Anfield (whereas, if the 1-1 had been at the Bridge, we’d be top)?
Obviously it won’t happen, but out of curiosity, if we draw 1-1 at the Bridge, and go on to finish the season with the same points, same goals scored and same goals conceded, what’s the next differential?

C is before L in the alphabet

Everything exactly the same, gd, for, against, pts, then I believe it’s a 1 game playoff. I assume at a neutral ground.

For some reason I thought it was a coin toss.

I originally though that a few seasons ago. I think I would puke.

The head to heads are supposed to make it even more unlikely, when combined with other stats.

“Nah, best of three. Come on, it’s always best out of three. Alright, best out of five. Everyone knows it’s best out of five…” - Pep.

I thought I read a few years ago that disciplinary records might come into play, but I might be making that up.

But S and P are after L…

I remember when (AFC) Bournemouth came up to the PL and replaced Arsenal as the first team in the sticker book.
I had no issue with Bournemouth beyond this, but I was happy they went down.

We could have a reciprocal arrangement and send one of our refs Down Under. The Premier League did nominate Jon Moss, but the plane wouldn’t take off.

Going be a weird old season, I assume to fit in the CL they will be scrapping the September and October National team breaks.

He would look world class compared to the shower of shite he would be working with in Aus

I have been watching a lot of Simon Jordan videos (talksport) and have found his opinions quite balanced and insightful. I don’t know generally how people rate him, so what is the general perception from the Liverpool fan POV and the general footballing public POV?

Whilst I rarely agree with anything he says, I tend to find his stuff on Talkshite interesting as he is the only presenter on there that has actually run a club, so he brings a perspective that is often very different to any one else which I think makes his show with Jim White one of the better shows to listen too.

I know a lot of Cheaty fans can’t stand him, but I think a lot of that comes from the fact that he will call their club out as the cheaters they are
