Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

I really hate to say it because Chelsea are repugnant, but those kind of dogged, hard fought wins are the stuff of champions as we know.
Those lucky breaks are helpful too.
I pray the wheels come off, but it looks ominous.

It’s just the eighth game of the season and they have dropped points already. There’s 30 more games to go and they will drop more points.

Yeah. Just saying :slightly_smiling_face::crossed_fingers:t3:

It can be but I also think there’s is a difference between a “dogged” performance and getting twatted but managing to get a win. When I think of dogged performances I look back at us in 19/20 going away to Wolves and grinding out a 2-0 win against an opponent that gave as good as they got. Few chances in the game but ruthless finishing by us. To neutrals it was boring.

This Chelsea side just got battered and managed to get a lucky goal with their only shot on target.

Could same similar about their match against us too.

Too early to predict anything. One team could still run away with it but it could be 2 or 3 teams stay close until the end.

I have to say I am a still a bit disappointed. The games we won we were comfortable.

But unlucky or stupid to not have won at least two out of the three draws.

(But I guess that’s the Liverpool way. Never take the easy way)

Grade A- so far for our season but a win against United would be sweet.

Only 30 games left :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

There’s a long way to go, but it doesn’t mean we can’t discuss how it’s going so far. It’s part of being a fan to speculate and pontificate.

I sort of don’t want to be top at Xmas or we’ll never hear the end of it from the BBC if we don’t go on to win it. They love stupid #facts like that. So stay a point behind till then then win every game till the end of the season.

The point I was making was that nearly a quarter of the season is gone.

I know we give Traore shit, but Wolves wouldn’t have won without him yesterday. He terrorised Villa with his runs.

Liverpool are the first English top-flight side in history to score 3+ goals in 7 consecutive away games in all competitions.:clap:

Hope we can make it in two more games. Don’t care how much we score against Preston.

As long as we score more than they do.

It’s actually quite easy, this game.

Ball goes in their net more than our net.

If we were United Klopp would have been given a 100 million dollar contract for this each achievement.

As with most of the seasons recently, January and February are going to be critical. If we can avoid a scratchy patch of form then, then I think we will be there or there about. If City have a 6+ point lead by the end of Feb, I think we will find it hard to close the gap - never mind over take them.

He’s excellent against average defenders, struggles when against the best as he doesn’t get enough chances to make one stick.

Yeah…his finishing was still shite, but Villa just couldn’t deal with him and all of their goals came after one of his runs.

If he could finish he’d be fucking scary.

Bitters could be in trouble.

Hammers moving it around nicely in the opening moments, for sure.
