Probably because they kept our quad dream alive. 
Surely it would be easy enough to disallow refs from officiating teams from their home towns. In fact, I thought that was a rule already.

You would imagine its simple enough?
It used to be but refs from certain areas with successful teams complained saying they missed out on the chance to ref in finals because of the rule.
My conspiracy theory of the day is that Pep wants us thinking for as long as possible that we have a chance of winning the league just so that it interupts our preparation for the CL final in the hope that we lose that too.

Ok, but to sacrifice the integrity of the system in order to pamper to a handful of refs seems like the wrong decision.
Antonio tried to be too clever when he had the chance at 2-2.
Also, shame Bowen didnāt get the hattrick, when he hit Laporte with the goal gaping.
