They still have to be big favourites for it , but … away to Wolves on a wednesday night , not easy…and …away to West Ham who will be desperate for any European footy next year.
Win those two and it’s probably theirs , but after last night , well who knows ?
I hope Klopp and his team watch the spuds vs Brighton game Brighton basically cut out the supply lines to Kane Son and kulusevski hence those 3 had very little of the ball and Brighton were able to win quite comfortably?
There were two midweek windows available for City for the rescheduled Wolves game. It’s maybe now relevant, when they would probably like a bit of a breather, that it was scheduled for the earlier opportunity (next midweek, rather than before the final weekend) so its now stacked on top of this result. That means in the immediate aftermath of this result they have to play 3 games in a week, including 2 away, their likely hardest remaining ones of the season. I’d imagine under these circumstances they’d preferred to have put that on the following midweek instead now.
City will beat themselves if they do slip, What I hope happens is some clubs have a bit more belief after last night. First time since Spurs someone went at them.
