Premier League 2022/23 (Part 1)

Might that have been considered a back pass by Romero? He seemed to intentionally kick it toward Lloris.

Thought it was a bit harsh, stupid tackle nonetheless.

This could become a hammering.

Yeah, orange for me.

Meanwhile, miracle worker Arteta has turned Xhaka into a goal threat.

Arsenal looking very good. Well-organized and dangerous up front. Think weā€™ll be doing very well to beat them next week. Iā€™d settle for a draw.

Here for WHU-Wolves. Who else copes by watching more football? lol.

Iā€™ve not seen any and I wonā€™t be bothering I think Judge is going for 62 in a bit so Iā€™ll watch the Baseball instead.

Nice goal by Scamacca that.

The man with the best first name in the world.

Haha, I watch the Red Sox if any but I am hardly a die-hard. Lived in Boston for a while, been to Fenway a number of times, but wouldnā€™t be opposed to going to Yankee Stadium ā€” my father grew up a Mets fan so I went to the old Shea, Wrigley Field (awesome experience), and the brand new in Atlanta (very impressive).

Screamer. They just said it was the first WHU first-half goal. Things could always be worse, although we need to turn it around sooner rather than later.

I just picked the Yankees as the obvious in the mid 90s when Channel 5 showed it. Only time I ever picked a team hitting a rich vein of form as a sports club. To be fair my passion for them has stuck.m
Went to the London series that was like T20 version of Baseball but still was fun and to see Boston and the Yankees was on the bucket list.

Fenway still has to happen anyhow went off thread so Iā€™ll leave it there.

Bowen 2-0

Wolves in shit

Even more shit now, here comes Costa.

We look like anything but a title contender so far in this season.

Fastest way to change that would be to beat Arsenal and City but doesnā€™t look like that atm.

Not changing my mid-term prediction. If we somehow end up third or fourth at the World Cup break weā€™ll be in a title race at the end of the season.

Thatā€™s the problem I have with so many posts after todayā€™s match (and indeed many previous matches). Itā€™s all about the looks and the immediate short-term. We could look good and beat Arsenal and City and still not be making progress, just a short-term blip in form, or we could look terrible, lose, and still be making the improvements we need to go on one of those runs where we just wear down every single team in front of us.

Iā€™d bet the latter scenario is more likely. Itā€™s going to be a long, hard season, but anyone who thinks that Haaland will automatically bail City out if/when they encounter a situation like what weā€™re facing is just fooling themselves.
