Premier League 2022/23 (Part 1)

Europe will impact both Arsenal and Man Utd I expect so yeah probably right.

Man City know how to play it.

Though this will mean that we were the only actual Champions of England for at least 5 years.

Adjusted for accuracy.

Well not in the CL

Would we be ok if they win premier league but fail in Champions league?

To be honest there is only one team I want to win the CL.

And these deals never work, they could win both, they might win nethier.

A tragic result !

I was and I am, dreaming that someone, just someone, can beat Manchester City to the title. Still more games, but I worry now that they might just win it again…

Totally agree great decision by the ref if that happens anywhere else on the pitch by any player it is a foul, a player must control their momemtum

Arsenal look a very good team but once they tire they don’t have the squad depth to be able to rotate and keep the same quality.

Unlike city who’s legal spending has allowed them to amass so many quality players

Like who? Utd? Nah ya good…on you pop City.

I’d rather City win the next 10 on the bounce than Utd winning 1.

It’s quite simple imo. If the PL don’t shit themselves and actually make some of their charges stick then anything these fucking cheats ‘win’ is totally meaningless and invalid. That includes stuff they’ve already cheated other clubs out of and this season’s title should it pan out that way.
If on the other hand they worm their way out of it on some sort of fucking technicality like they did with UEFA but it’s clear they still cooked the books then that will be it for me. They’ll have won, despite everyone knowing what they are, and the game will be up.

If they pip the Arsenal to the PL title by one point… You can bet your bottom dollar their fans will all of a sudden start singing from the same song sheet as us about them being Cheats.

I don’t think there could be a better encapsulation of this era of the PL than Citeh winning the title in the face of yet another confirmation that flagrant disregard for the rules is the foundation of their success. The PL is becoming as pointless as the Bundesliga, and at least Bayern earns the money they use to dominate the BL honestly. I am watching a fraction of the football I was 5 years ago.

While I do get the rationale, this reasoning is why when we were in title race many wouldn’t have wanted us to win. The problem then is teams who are winning it the right away aren’t much appreciated and long term it’s all the teams who are in similar bracket that suffer.

Instead I feel if there is enough support and recognition for teams that win the right way, we may have more teams wanting to go by that route.

When incidents like this happen, i get equally confused and amused by the arguments. The one I am seeing all over the place with this penalty is “the goalie was committed, he had no where else to go”. People who say that are SOOOO close to getting it. Maybe he shouldnt have committed himself to a ball he couldnt get to? Maybe?
