Premier League 2022/23 (Part 1)

Sadly our legal expert is no longer participating. Anybody explain to me how a privately owned business can be bullied like this?

Palhinha’s yellow cards to games ratio is :fire::fire::fire:.

We all have a responsibility not to add to the trough of bile and hatred that swills around in this sport.

We all have.
But it doesn’t stop with cowardly anonymous threats then.

It stops with chants about death and poverty, it stops with glorification of cheating, it stops with the systemic milking of a global cash cow by TV companies and FIFA etc.

But lets not confine this to Mr Potter, who has the “support” of his employer. The same cunts who will sack him this summer.

Lets include the nurse who gets racially abused for simply doing his job. Lets include the lounge staff who get sexually abused by the stag party because they can. Lets include the season ticket holder who hears songs about her dead loved ones for no reason only bilous hatred. Lets think about the policeman or firefighter who are issued such threats on a regular basis.

Its not confined to football, the level of anger/hatred/bile that exists in society. And much as I sympathise with Potter, I think my empathy is lying with just as deserving causes.

You are 100% correct, totally agree.
But lets be honest, this isn’t just a football issue. Its societal. In my lovely land of welcomes there are right wing idiots who invited that cunt Tommy Robinson over to advise them on keeping Somalian refugees out of the country.

Potter has his problems, granted but they pale in comparison with some of what is happening.

Sorry
You got me in a ranty mood

Liverpool. You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Chelsea. Best Not Walk Home Alone, Mate.

Wow. Big let off for Leicester there as VAR spots Ben White holding Ward’s hand. Didn’t look like much from most views. Gunners a red swarm thus far in this match, but that would have been their first shot on target.

I’m expecting Arteta to be fuming if they don’t win this. He already wants his two points from before, when Mason didn’t draw the etch-a-sketch line. Now he will want another two points if they don’t win this one today.

I personally thought the goal was good, and it was a bit of a soft one to be chalked off for a minor foul on Ward. Still, if we get a Lego man meltdown, it will be entertaining.

But I suspect that Arsenal will still run out winners here. They had a good hour plus of football to play after the goal was chalked off, so loads of time to get the points they want.

Edit:
I watched it again, and the arm holding was worse than I first thought, and it prevented Ward getting a clean punch, so fair enough. Goal chalked off.

Glad it was a foul I’m starting to get a bit conspiracy led with Webb back at the FA and all.
