Premier League 2022/23 (Part 1)

Scum have to go to Sandcastle on 2nd April…
They also have to go to Spurs on 27th April…
Lots of points to be dropped in those games

nope, that just prolongs it.

if the ref’s grow a pair of balls and start throwing :yellow_square: around when the players start time wasting it will send a CLEAR message to stop fucking around. once those yellows start accumulating and players end up missing games, teams will take notice.

Same for simulation, kicking the ball away, and DISSENT. Crowding the referees, all of that stupid fucking behavior that happens on the PL pitches which doesn’t happen in amateur football.

punish that stupid behavior, without remorse. you have a captain and sometimes a VC at the coin toss for a reason. lay down the rules in the pre-game talk, make sure those lads understand you’re not fucking around and they’ll see some color for pushing boundaries.

maybe we’ll start getting some decent refereeing again, if they don’t have to put up with shit and abuse regularly. in amateur, anyways.

Spurs current PPG average puts them at 65-66 for the full season. If that is the pace they maintain then surpassing it is very manageable for this side, at least the version we’ve seen in the past month. Even if you give us losses against each of City, Chelsea and Arsenal, and give us only a draw against Spurs, we’ve still got 9 other games left. Win 7 of those and draw 2 and it would put at the 66 point target and I think that is a really low bar (7 wins, 3 losses and 3 draws from 13 games) for this side to get over.

Do you see Spurs meaningfully improving to make the target higher than 66? I dont. I dont see Newcastle keeping pace with what they set over their first half either.

Interesting PPG tidbit: for all the Mancs have been on about a title challenge, they are currently on pace for 76 points. Improvement, sure; good enough for top 4, yeah; but a helluva long way from the 90+ points it’s taken to win the PL in five of the last six seasons.

If we can get through the City, Chelsea, Arsenal stretch coming up without a big stutter, Im going to fancy us being more interested in catching up with them at 3rd than getting ahead of or holding off Spurs.

I asked William Hill for a price for Liverpool finishing the season in the top 4 when we were 10th.
They declined to give a price.
We are now quoted at evens.

CUNTS!!

Yeah that was more of a wank fest because the punditry needed to create a hype and rival fans needed a bit of a panic than anything in reality. I’ve avoided looking at the table this year, for obvious reasons, but I was quite amused at all the United are back musings just before they played us only to realise that even they’re 14 points off the top.

Then when The Cheats get lobbed we’ll be runners-up :grinning::+1:

11 wins will guarantee top-four. Even 10 wins could be enough. Anything less might be tricky.

  • Really doubt we will win 10 or even more.

  • pretty sure that 8 wins and 3 draws will be enough if we beat Spurs and they don’t beat Newcastle.

Edit:
Wanted to point out that a win today + 4 points in the next three games (City, Chelsea, Arsenal) would be very good even if it doesn’t sound like that atm.

:pray::pray::pray::pray: we live in hope…

Hey, look at this dickhead over here

Wouldn’t bet against us turning up for those games, it’s depressing.

Yeah, a bit of good fortune in these matches and not much damage is done.

Bitters and spurs ahead. :roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Had to be that whiner, Richarlison.

Meh. Still plenty of time for them both to fuck it up.
