Premier League 2022/23 (Part 1)

Totally agree – it’s never not fun to see them lose.

The fuck is that not 2-0

Header off the bar then rebound header off the line.

Willbock.

Willock could have 4 goals today with better finishing.

2-0

Utd struggled from crosses all night…result doesn’t flatter them 1 bit, couldv’e been about 4 or 5 but not for DDG.

That header was perfection.

2-0 the least they deserve. Reminds me of the United game we had in 19-20 at Anfield – we should have been well out of sight well before the clincher.

Less than ideal for us and our ever slimming chances of getting into the Top 4.

If we’d beat Bournemouth I’d be more bothered. Ain’t over until it’s over but it’s almost over.

Spurs win tomorrow would very much welcomed…keeps Utd in 5th for time being and keeps Everton in bottom 3, happy days.

Have to say the Newcastle players are showing quite a bit more desire than the United lot.

More than the result, it is the control and quality of Newcastle’s performance that bodes worst for us. Lots of times Ive seen them this season they have not looked great. Solid, but felt like they were over achieving on the back of a glut of goals from Almiron that could not be maintained. Today they have looked different, and notably did it without Almiron.

Is it Newcastle up or just United gash. Last three PL matches they have not shown up.

But the opposite of that suits us. United were totally shit.

You don’t need to look great to get results, Howe takes the credit for setting up Newcastle to being very hard to beat, (wish we could say the same)…in less than 12 months he’s taken them from being 1 of the worst defensively to the best defensively…& with signings like Burn Tripper & Botman. Can only be commended.

Are Newcastle supporters singing Na na na na, Hey Jude or na na na na Hey, crude?

I think Howe’s biggest masterstrokes have been getting the best out of Joelinton and Almiron.

also Longstaff and on another note, bedding in Issac so quickly.

He’s done a lot right real fast.

Binned off the championship crap like Dubravka Shelvey Ritchie Hayden and Lascalles, signed Pope & Guimares who’ve bedded in straight away & also getting the best out of players such as Longstaff when he was being laughed at…+ the 2 players you mentioned there.

There’s really nothing stopping them spending 200-300m in the summer & if they improve in the right areas up top then that spells real trouble.

I’m honestly not worried about Manure, Newcastle or Arsenal starting some kind of dynasty. Their managers are nowhere near the level of Pep.

I don’t like Pep. He’s a hypocrite. He’d never have achieved at Liverpool what Klopp has but Pep + unlimited money (cheating) has been and is a force to be reckoned with.

This season we’ve shot ourselves in the foot. Any sort of form we’d be in 3rd easily. I don’t who’s to blame, Klopp or FSG or both (it’s been done to death) but getting back to challenging depends more on what we do in the summer more than what others do.
